Chinese made HV ceramic capacitor getting approval by domestic end user

High-voltage ceramic capacitors are gradually gaining recognition among more end customers in the Chinese market. Although many foreign medical equipment companies have established factories in China, it is not easy for domestically produced high-voltage ceramic capacitors to enter the supplier lists of foreign medical device companies, as medical end customers primarily purchase capacitors from foreign brands. However, foreign brands are actually eager to obtain high-quality domestic manufacturers of high-voltage capacitors in China.

Recently, there have been changes in the situation, with well-known domestic and foreign medical end customers such as Philips, GE, and Mindray gradually successfully procuring high-voltage ceramic capacitors produced in China. For example, Philips originally used high-voltage ceramic capacitors (orange) produced by Germany's Vishay in their medical equipment such as CT scanners and X-ray machines. With the continuous development of ceramic capacitor technology in China, Philips has been able to achieve the same level of quality as German capacitors by using domestically produced high-voltage ceramic capacitors (HVC). This has helped Philips achieve their goals of high quality and low cost, consolidating their leading position in the field of medical devices.

Currently, many end customer companies still prefer to import high-voltage ceramic capacitors from Germany or Japan (VISHAY/MURATA). However, there are reliable domestic options available as well. HVC is one such option, being a domestic brand that provides high-quality capacitors.

Let's analyze the performance of high-voltage ceramic capacitors. The lifespan and price of the product are important factors, especially for high-end applications. Philips has invested a considerable amount of money in the development of durable products and has conducted rigorous testing and analysis. Through continuous improvement, HVC has addressed issues related to capacitor breakdown and has improved dimensions, capacity, and manufacturing processes. Currently, HVC high-voltage ceramic capacitors can be made using N4700 material and have undergone aging tests.

It is worth noting that some customers have always been skeptical about domestic high-voltage ceramic capacitors and have refused to try out samples. This may be due to certain domestic manufacturers selling capacitors that exceed their rated voltage (i.e., capacitors with falsely labeled voltage) or not selecting suitable ceramic materials during the selection phase, resulting in failed tests. Negative experiences with a few Chinese companies have somewhat diminished the reputation of Chinese capacitor manufacturers. However, there are still customers who are impressed by HVC's sincerity and agree to test our samples.

HVC strictly adheres to quality standards to ensure that its products are consistent with those of its German counterparts. In fact, Philips has conducted aging tests on both German and HVC products, and the results have shown that HVC products can achieve the same level of performance.

Ultimately, the success of the product depends on word-of-mouth recommendations. This is particularly true in the business world, where convincing customers can be challenging. For example, early adopters like Mindray have already recognized the quality of HVC high-voltage ceramic capacitors. HVC is capable of producing capacitors of the same quality as some well-known brands that typically focus on high-voltage applications rather than low-voltage ones.
